Owner/Follower FAQ


HOW CAN I INFORM FELLOW OWNERS ABOUT STABLESMART?

There is a box on the right hand side of the screen titled "Spread the Word". If you click on this, it will give you instructions on how to inform fellow owners and friends about Stablesmart.

DO I NEED TO DO ANYTHING TO MAINTAIN THE SITE?

All the information for your horses is automatically fed to the site. You will need to fill in your own personal information for your profile, but no other entry of information is explicitly required from you. Of course, if you want to engage in discussion with fellow owners, managers, and fans, or share photos and news, then this would require your input.

WHAT IF I NO LONGER OWN A HORSE?

You can remove that thoroughbred from your portfolio, or your manager and/or fellow owners can elect to remove you from that thoroughbred. You will then no longer have access to owner/manager information on that thoroughbred.

HOW DO I FIND MY HORSES?

Simply click the "add thoroughbred" button and search for your horses and click "add". You will need to choose if you are an owner, manager, owner/manager, or follower of that thoroughbred.

CAN I ADD HORSES I DON'T OWN?

Yes, simply add that horse as a fan by selecting the "follower"

WHY DO I HAVE TO WAIT FOR VERIFICATION WHEN ADDING A HORSE AS AN OWNER?

To ensure that you are in fact the real owner of a given thoroughbred, this will need to be verified first. People who can verify you are StableSmart management, your thoroughbred's manager, and other co-owners already verified.

IS MY DATA SECURE?

Yes. Your information will not be accessible to the public. It will only stay within your group of owners and managers.

DO I HAVE TO PAY FOR THE SERVICE?

Currently StableSmart is offering the service for free to all users until at least the start of 2012 and remember to follow a horse is free

WILL I BE INFORMED OF WHICH OWNERS HAVE JOINED?

Yes. Owners require verification before adding each horse to StableSmart, and you will receive a notification each time one of your owners adds a horse that you manage to StableSmart.

WILL I HAVE TO DO ANYTHING TO MAINTAIN THE SITE?

You will need to fill in your own personal information for your profile, but no other entry of information is explicitly required from you. Of course, if you want to issue reports, updates, photos and the like, or engage in discussion with fellow owners, then this would require your input. Contact StableSmart for one of our account managers to conduct a tutorial explaining how to use StableSmart so that your training/stud/syndicate operation can enjoy the benefits.

WHAT IF AN OWNER NO LONGER OWNS A HORSE I MANAGE?

Owners can remove that thoroughbred from your portfolio, or you as a manager and/or fellow owners can elect to remove that owner from that thoroughbred. That owner will then no longer have access to owner/manager information on that thoroughbred.

WHAT IF I NO LONGER MANAGE A HORSE?

Managers can simply remove that thoroughbred from their portfolio. Other owners will still have access to that thoroughbred, but will no longer have access to you as the manager within that thoroughbred.

WHAT WILL STABLESMART DO FOR ME?

You will be able to communicate easily and efficiently with your owners. StableSmart saves you time and significantly improves the experience that your owners receive from your management services. This can only lead to efficiencies in running your operation and improved customer satisfaction.
